Dess finds a Geo-tracker and attempts to find out the house of the weird lady and the connections between the coordinates and the number 12.
Dess finds a lady, Madeline, who is actually also a Midnighter, (A Mindcaster) who has been hiding from Darklings for 49 years, and knows that the Halfling is dying, and will need a replacement, REX, in order to communicate with their human allies who only care about oil and wealth.
Rex gets kidnapped.
Rex gets transformed into a Halfling before Jessica kills the darkling half of him and saves him.
